It will be tough to read strategy for flash Texas Holdem rooms if you do not understand the lingo, so I will keep going through the poker dictionary for you. Every now and then I come across a term that even I didn’t know!

I am going to define “Mexican Bankroll”, a bunch of one dollar bills in between a couple 100’s. Knowing this will not help you beat the games on Tiger Gaming, but it was such a funny term that I couldn’t resist defining it!

Our next definition is for the “nuts”. If you are playing cash games on Ultimate Bet for Mac and you have the nuts, it means that you have the strongest hand possible. One thing to keep in mind is that if someone makes a better hand than yours on a subsequent street, then you no longer have the nuts. For instance, QQ is the nuts on a Q45 flop, but if the turn is a 6, it is no longer the nuts.

Free poker training might teach a new player that they do not want to be “outkicked” at show down. It is important to strive for the highest kicker possible because the kicker is the tie breaker if two players have the same pair. If you have KQ and the board reads Q72A8, you have a pair of queens with a king kicker.

The term I will define next is “polarized range”. If you have a polarized range at any point while playing with a Full Tilt referral code, it is basically saying that your hand is either incredibly strong or incredibly weak.

I recently tried Bingo codes and spent a few hours with Bingo cards, but all I proved to myself was that poker is by far a superior game. I highly encourage you to learn how to play poker if you enjoy card games and gambling. Go through the earlier articles on this site and then come back next month for another update.

Nice to see you again! It is time to define more terms that should help you to succeed at poker on Mac poker sites. I hope you are enjoying my alphabetical progress as much as I am. Another good thing is that it prevents me from agonizing over the vast number of choices in the poker dictionary.

The first term I will define is ICM, which stands for Independent Chip Model. If your main game is sit & gos on a Lucky Ace Poker download, knowing about ICM is a must. It basically gives tournament chips a cash value so that you can make the right decision when someone is all-in.

There are not a lot of J terms, so let’s just quickly look at “jam”. If you find some free poker training and the instructor recommends that you jam, he is saying to go all-in. It is interchangeable with the terms “shove” and “push”.

I picked “kill” for the letter K. If you decide to take a break from your Bingo codes in favor of poker at the local brick-and-mortar, one of your options will probably be a kill game. When someone wins two pots in a row, they are required to pay an extra blind the next hand. A full kill is twice the size of the big blind while a half kill is 1.5 times the big blind. Those that shy away from aggro tables in online poker rooms will probably like kill tables since they can stifle hyper-aggression.

When someone makes a move “light”, they are representing a much stronger hand than the one they actually have. Say you are using your Everest Poker download and you receive T3 in the big blind. A person that raises a lot in late position raises on the cut-off, and you elect to reraise because you know he is usually raising a wide range here. He is likely raising light in late position, and you are 3-betting light in return. You should encounter these types of hands often on poker sites.

I think that will wrap it up for today. Next month I will get started again with the letter M. In the meantime, get some experience at the tables. If you are looking for a new site to play on, give Full Tilt a try. Full Tilt Poker已经成为最专业的网络扑克平台，赶快到我们的Full Tilt Poker下载页面下载游戏大厅，体验便捷的操作和赚钱的乐趣吧！

Today I am going to continue with poker phrases you might want to know when you play Mac poker. You will recall that I was going through the alphabet and I had left off at E.

For both cash and MTT poker on your Bwin Poker download, it is important to know about “effective stacks”. If two people are in a pot together, the most either can wager is the amount that the shorter stack has, also known as the effective stack. If you have 3,400 chips and your opponent has 2,200, the effective stack is 2,200.

The next phrase I will tell you about is “flip”, a suggestion that might come if you play a friendly cash game on Tiger Gaming. If you decide to participate in a flip, you must push your entire stack in with any two cards that you are dealt. You might be thinking to yourself that this does not coincide with the definition of flip you heard the other day. Well a flip can also describe a situation in which you have 50% equity. For example, if you participate in a Sit&Go on your Everest Poker download and you have JJ vs AQ all-in preflop, this is referred to as a flip since you will win the hand around 50% of the time.

I wanted to review the term “gutshot” next. When you are drawing to a straight with 4 outs, it is known as a gutshot straight draw. For instance, if you take a break from watching poker videos and get dealt 78 in a ring game, you might feel frisky and decide to play it. You call a raise and you get A46 on the flop. The straight draw you have is called a gutshot because you only have a straight when a particular card comes (four outs). If you ever hear about an “inside straight draw”, it is the same thing.

I chose “Hero fold” for the letter H. When you make you a hero fold, you are making a difficult fold with a relatively strong hand. For example, maybe you are playing on your Titanpoker download and you are against a passive player that never raises. You peel 45 and get a 678 flop, but instead of folding or calling, your opponent decides to raise! Folding this hand following a single raise is definitely a case of a hero fold. It may seem nitty, but unlike Internet slots, poker is a thinking game and sometimes tough decisions are necessary.

That’s it for me today, but I will be sure to continue on when I come back in November. In the meantime, be sure to play lots of hands and get lots of practice. Give PokerStars a try if you have not already done so. La adrenalina al estar en una mano, la seriedad de tu oponente. Se mueven las fichas al centro, y tú llamas. ¡Ganaste! Descargar PokerStars te llevará al mundo del póquer, el mejor póquer a cualquier hora.

Last month I wrote about some important poker terms that are important to know if you are working towards beating the Mac poker games. I thought that I would do that again with some new terminology for my next few entries. To entertain myself, I will go in order through the alphabet and explain one dictionary entry for each letter. Hopefully these next few entries help you out.

For the letter A, I will explain the word “ante”. You will want to know about this word for sure if you play tournaments on a Full Tilt download. An ante is a bet that must be paid by all players at the table before the hand is dealt. The ante is usually around a tenth of the big blind, although it can be more or less depending on the game.

You will already know what a “bluff” is if you watch poker on TV. When someone bluffs, they are representing a stronger hand than the one they actually hold in order to make better hands fold. If you ever watch high stakes poker on US friendly poker sites, you will probably see some great bluffs being made.

For the letter C, I will define “chip dumping”, an offense that the best US poker sites all take very seriously. Chip dumping occurs when someone intentionally loses their chips to someone else. Sometimes people do this to share chips between friends in a tournament, and it can even be a way to launder money for those into illegal activities. This is why money poker sites want their security team paying attention to suspicious activity on the tables.

When reading articles on beating Daniels Room poker, you will probably read about “dirty outs” every so often. You have a situation of dirty outs when cards that improve your hand improve an opponent’s hand even more. For example, imagine you are playing cash games on a Bwin Poker download and have an open ended straight draw on a board with a couple hearts. If you make your straight when a third heart comes out, this could be a dirty out since someone may have also made a flush.

I am going to stop here, but I will be back sometime in October. In the meantime, maybe you should do some research on PokerStars rakeback. Good luck at the tables!

You’ll probably remember that a few months ago I discussed poker tools that are able to help you become a better player on Mac poker sites. The first thing I recommended was an online poker dictionary because you’ll find it hard to read advanced strategies if you don’t know the most important poker terminology. However, the one problem with a poker dictionary is that you’ll see so many words that you won’t know where to start! Because of this, I’ll go ahead and highlight a few of the poker terms that are the most important for someone new to an Everest Poker download or any other poker site download. Learn these terms first as they’re common and most likely to pop up when you start reading poker literature.

Actually the most important terms were already mentioned in earlier entries, so go back to my previous articles if you haven’t read them yet. Make sure you understand “bankroll management” and “variance” very well because they will be vital for your success in poker. When playing on your poker flash website, there’s a chance you could go through some bad luck. You need a suitable bankroll just in case the worst happens.

Since poker is all about money, you should quickly learn about the “rake”. The rake is the amount taken from all the pots or prize pools by the host of the poker game. For instance, if you use a Full Tilt Poker download and play at the no-limit tables, each pot will end up around 5% less because Full Tilt will collect it as their payment. Rake will differ between sites, and there is a maximum amount that will be taken for each pot.

Another term to know about is “position”. We’ve already discussed the importance of your cards in the poker hands order article, but we neglected to go over position, another important consideration. You are in position if you’re last to act after the flop, and being in position makes mediocre cards better while being out of position makes good cards worse. When you’re in position, you can play hands that you normally wouldn’t play while out of position. When you play Internet slots, it usually doesn’t matter which machine you choose and where you sit. Poker is very different in that way.

You should check out the term “outs” in an online poker dictionary before visiting your new flash Texas Holdem site. At any given time if you believe you don’t have the best hand, figure out which cards could fall on later streets that would improve your cards to the winner. These are known as your “outs”.

Take note of the term “fold equity”. When you’re trying to win a pot, you need to take into account that there is a chance your opponent will fold if you bet. This is called fold equity, and it is very important because it’s a way to win pots without having to go to showdown. If you ever take a look at high stakes games on a PokerStars download, you’ll learn that the most profitable players employ this idea very often.

As you read about poker on the internet, the word “nit” will probably pop up from time to time. A nit describes a player that plays a very limited number of hands and is afraid to gamble without the best of it. He is unlikely to put himself in a spot where he is unlikely to be ahead.

So that you can get the most out of other free poker training sites, I will introduce the term “all-in”. Most common in tournament poker, if you go all-in, you are betting your entire stack and your opponents must call the equivalent of your stack if they want to continue with the hand. If you get a call and don’t win the showdown, you are likely busto and you must re-buy (if the game permits it) or stop playing.

The next time I write, I will list a few more terms that I think are important for you to know. In the meantime, look at these ones and then search for a few strategy articles to study. Thanks for reading and see you next time!

This entry is about to inform you of a training website that focuses on Sit ‘n’ Go (SNG) tourneys. SNGs are tourneys that don’t start until they’ve reached a predetermined number of entrants. For example, you can register for a one table SNG, and the tournament will start once a total of nine people register. SNGs can be as small as two people and as large as a couple hundred people. Whether you play flash or Mac poker, your room of choice should have SNGs.

SitnGoGrinders.com focuses on SNG play. since SNGs always have a set number of players along with rigid payout structures, they play differently from regular tournaments. You’ll learn some important tips on SitnGo Grinders from their articles and videos, and the people that make the videos or write the articles have had great success in online casinos for USA players. You’ll find that it’s a bargain to access the videos, as well. They have chosen to avoid registration fees, and you’ll pay around $20/month for a short term membership. If you’re thinking long term, you should think about signing up for the entire year because you’ll pay $10.75/month for the first year and then $10 for subsequent months.

You won’t find thousands of videos on SitnGo Grinders yet since they are a relatively new training site. The video selection should keep growing at a decent pace since they release a new one daily. I doubt you’ll be disappointed with the selection right off the bat, though. People interested in 6 max SNGs on money poker sites will find hundreds of videos to choose from, as will those interested in multi-table SNGs. Full ring and heads-up games have around 100 videos each, which is less than the other categories but still not too shabby.

A large percentage of the video makers play on PokerStars, one of the top Texas Hold’em sites on the Internet today. These players chose this site because of the PokerStars bonus code and VIP program, and the majority of them have earned either Supernova or Supernova Elite status. This shows that they really do grind the heck out of SNGs, hence the name chosen for the site! This site is an excellent choice for beginner players, but seasoned players will also benefit as there are some videos that have some upper level thinking.

If you’re a cash game player on a Full Tilt Poker download, I do not recommend this site to you. If you’re a multi-table tournament player, you won’t have any videos targeted to your game either, although you might still find the site useful for learning MTT endgame. While SitnGoGrinders.com isn’t the first choice for those that like variety, it is still a fantastic resource at a very good price. In fact, this training site should be a no brainer for anyone hoping to make a decent profit off SNGs.

So far I’ve gone over two training sites that favor cash games, so this time I’m going to describe a site that makes poker videos for tournaments. Poker Pwnage is one of the newer training sites on the market, and they came with one intention: to make poker videos for those that play tournaments. If you want to join, you must pay $35 as your membership fee and then monthly it’s $24.99. Comparing it to the sites from the previous entries, it’s cheaper than Cardrunners but more expensive than GrinderSchool.

If you play the tournaments on a Virgin Poker download but you keep having to reload, Poker Pwnage might be the right site for you. They’ve released over 300 online poker videos, and all of them were created by a few of the world’s most profitable multi-table tournament poker players. In fact, a couple of the instructors have done quite well in WSOP 2010 so far. Adrian “Chardrian” Dresel-Velasquez cashed for $43,000 in a Limit event and David “GhettoFabolous” Randall cashed for $270,000 in a No Limit event.

If you prefer Sit-N-Go’s over MTT poker, you should also be happy with Poker Pwnage. The instructors play stakes that start as low as $10 and go up to over $100, and you’ll get to choose from standard full ring, short handed, and heads-up. You’ll find a lot of beginner strategy, but the site also offers some out-of-the-box thinking. Even if you’ve been playing since the Moneymaker boom, you’ll still learn a few things from these videos.

Do not even think about signing up for this site if you want cash game strategy. Right now there are only five cash videos, and there’s no reason to believe that another one will be released in the near future. If you mostly sit at Draw tables on a Full Tilt Poker download, you shouldn’t bother with this site, either. You’ll find only Hold Em, and until another form of poker starts to become more popular, we probably won’t see this changed anytime soon.

It’s a refreshing change to come across a site that focuses on tournament play, so most people won’t criticize their lack of cash strategy. As you’re watching the videos, you can be confident that the guidance you’ll get is capable of turning you into a winning player. After you watch some of the videos, hopefully you don’t find yourself making an additional poker deposit on Tiger Gaming ever again!

In the previous article, I talked about GrinderSchool, a training site that develops poker videos for inexperienced players. Now I will introduce Cardrunners, probably the most successful and highly regarded training site online at the moment. The site was founded by Taylor Caby and Andrew Wiggins, and since 2008 they’ve been partnered with Full Tilt Poker. The site offers a large variety of poker videos for low stakes, nosebleed stakes, and everything in between.

If you make an account at Cardrunners, you’ll be able to view a small number of free poker videos, but you’ll be required to pay a membership fee to check out anything worthwhile. You might not like the fees if you still have a small bankroll because first you get charged $100 to sign up, and then the monthly charge is $30. Serious players will find that these fees are worth it, though. At the moment there are over 1800 online poker videos online for streaming and download, and every week at least seven more are released.

As with GrinderSchool, the strength of Cardrunners is in their cash game coverage. They have an excellent variety of videos for No Limit Holdem 6-max due to its popularity, and choices for Full Ring games have gotten better when compared with a year or two ago. If you’re more into Texas Hold Em hands in Heads-Up or Limit games, your video selection is also quite good.

If you like Sit-N-Go’s or you’re an MTT poker player, Cardrunners might not be the absolute best choice since their specialty is most certainly ring games. You’ll still find plenty of tournament videos, however, and you’ll find them at both low and high stakes. For people that play tournaments occasionally, Cardrunners is an excellent choice as they still offer plenty of videos for tournaments and Sit-N-Go’s to compliment their top notch cash game catalog.

If Rush Poker Omaha has been giving you a hard time, Cardrunners offers some of the most useful videos out of all the sites today. This is also the case for other types of poker like HORSE or Stud. You’re obviously not going to find a large selection of videos like you will for Hold Em, but Cardrunners definitely has the best selection of videos for other games out of all the training sites out there.

When you get some experience with real money poker sites, Cardrunners is a top option if you don’t mind putting up money for some really good training videos. They’re undeniably the best option for cash game specialists, and if you want to learn a bit about tournaments, you’ll have a lot to choose from, as well. To sum it up, you can’t go wrong with putting your money into a Cardrunners membership.

If you remember my older entries, you’ll recall that I introduced a few key poker tools that have the ability to help you improve your game. We learned that it’s useful to find a variety of free poker videos because they’re an effective way to learn some advanced strategies, and they come at no cost to you. If you’re especially enthusiastic, though, it might not take you long to get through all the free videos on the internet. The videos should have helped you earn some money playing poker by now, and the next step is to invest some of this profit on some more advanced videos. My next few articles are going highlight a number of the internet training sites that you are able to sign up for if you think that poker videos are the best way for you to learn.

Today I’d like to talk about GrinderSchool as it caters to players at low stakes. A subscription starts at the low price of $10 per month, and for this price you are granted access to over 600 online poker videos by people that have the results to show they are able to win at the stakes they play. The site releases 7 videos each week, and while most of them pertain to No Limit Hold Em, you’ll find that 4 each month are either Pot Limit Omaha or mixed game videos.

If you play ring games and your focus is No Limit Hold Em, you’ll benefit a lot from a GrinderSchool subscription. They feature a multitude of 6 max and full ring poker videos, and there are a variety of stakes to choose from. If you play mainly heads-up or Limit, though, you might not be as happy. The site features a few heads-up and Limit videos, but this might not be sufficient for players that frequently participate in those types of poker. The same can be said for people that need help with Omaha or other less popular poker games like Draw.

Have you been frequenting the Rush Poker tournaments on Full Tilt lately? Videos are also abundant for tournament players, and the instructors that made them have some impressive resumes. The videos show buy-ins from $2 to $55, and almost all of them participate in a 3 to 9 part series. Those that have the goal to play in a big tournament out of their bankrolls can also pick from videos that feature satellites.

If you find MTT poker frustrating and prefer single-table tournaments, GrinderSchool is an excellent choice for you. You’ll find that a large percentage of the SNG videos were made by the site’s owner, but they recently hired a couple new high quality instructors. New players will be pleased to see that the buy-ins featured in these videos are as low as $1, and both beginner and advanced concepts are covered.

Overall, GrinderSchool is an excellent site for inexperienced players dipping their toes in real money poker sites. We’ve already seen how low the monthly cost is, and with no sign up fee, it’s almost a no-brainer! If you’re looking for mixed games, you are better off elsewhere, but if you’re a low stakes No Limit Hold Em player, this is the training site for you.

We went over the concept of pot odds in the most recent article, and today I’d like to introduce a related subject and talk about implied odds. Last entry showed that following a correct poker hands order should often provide a winning hand postflop, but sometimes you’ll find yourself in spots where you’ll be forced to put your money in even if you’ll lose a large percentage of the time. Obviously you will lose a large percentage of these pots, which, like I said before, is why you must follow correct bankroll management at all times. When we discuss implied odds, there will be a similar theme: we’re almost always putting our money in behind. The reason is different, though: we call bets with implied odds because we are hoping to win bets on later streets when we hit.

To see what I mean, let’s go back to the example of flopping a flush draw from the last entry. We were playing a tournament on a Full Tilt Poker download and we flopped a flush draw. This time, though, say that our opponent just raises 600 more rather than all his chips. If the pot has 1,000 chips and the raise is 600 more, we saw last time that we do not have the odds to call and hit our flush. However, let’s say that our opponent has 1,000 chips left in his stack and we are very sure that he will put the rest of his chips in no matter what the turn and river are. To retain the premise that you’ll see both the turn and river if you call, let’s also assume that he checks the turn 100% of the time. This information means that you can use implied odds to determine whether or not it’s correct to call. There are 1,000 chips in the pot and he has 1,000 chips behind. Since we expect those chips to be in the pot by the river, you can consider that the pot has 2,000 chips rather than just 1,000. You are approximately 33% to hit your flush, and 600 divided by 2,000 is only 30%, so calling is correct in this situation.

It should be clear that a poker odds chart combined with pot odds and implied odds can give you a huge edge at the table. An inexperienced individual has a lot of potential to lose money at the wrong time with his draws. One option is that he might call without correct pot odds, and we’ve seen that this yields a negative expectation. Or maybe he knows about pot odds but doesn’t understand implied odds, so in another situation he’ll fold when he actually has the implied odds to call. In both cash games and MTT poker, you must understand both pot odds and implied odds to make as much money as possible when you have draws.

Before I finish off, I’d just like to advise you to be a bit careful with this new knowledge. Occasionally those new to the game begin calling with anything and everything when they are taught implied odds because they are overly optimistic regarding their opponent. If you’re considering future bets in your calculations, you must be positive they will happen. For example, imagine that you’re playing poker hands in a ring game and you turn a set, but it appears it completed a flush draw for your opponent. You start calculating your implied odds when he raises because the only way you can win this hand is by hitting a full house on the river. When you are considering future bets, you must realize your opponent might be less willing to put in a lot of chips with just a flush on a paired board. Don’t forget that it’s the future bets that make these calls profitable, and if the future bets don’t happen, you cannot call with positive expectation.
